Sharing, smarter tracking, and cleaner flight history
Aviato is built around a simple idea: the people who care about your journey shouldn’t need to keep asking where you are.
You can now share an upcoming flight directly from Aviato. Send it to friends or family and they can follow the journey, see the latest flight information, and stay updated as the flight progresses.
This is the first step toward making flight sharing a core part of Aviato, alongside live tracking and your personal travel history.
Share directly from your flight
Upcoming flights now include a dedicated sharing flow.
Choose a flight, generate a share link, and send it through Messages, WhatsApp, Mail, or any other app from the standard share sheet.
Shared flights make it easier for family and friends to follow a journey without searching for flight numbers or repeatedly checking airline websites.
Smarter onboarding
We’ve simplified onboarding around how you use Aviato.
Choose whether you’re using Aviato as a traveller, pilot, or cabin crew member. Travellers can also tell us what matters most to them so Aviato can better tailor the experience from the start.
The result is a shorter setup process with fewer unnecessary steps.
More reliable live tracking
We’ve made a number of improvements to live flight tracking.
Flights are framed more consistently on the globe, aircraft movement is handled more reliably throughout the journey, and we’ve improved how different phases of flight are detected.
We’ve also fixed cases where cruise altitude could incorrectly appear as descent and improved handling for flights crossing dates and time zones.
Better flight history
Flight history is now more consistent across Aviato.
Overnight flights use the correct departure-local date, past flights are handled more reliably, and simulator activity is now kept separate from actual flying statistics.
Simulator time no longer contributes to flight time, block time, seat hours, landing calculations, or other statistics where it shouldn’t.
Manage multiple flights at once
You can now select multiple flights from your history and remove them together.
Long-press a flight to enter selection mode, choose the flights you want to manage, and delete them without working through each flight individually.
